Back to school

by Directioneering

Many of our clients and alumni have children who last week started their final year of high school. In the next few weeks many more will start or head back to university, all with an eye on what the future holds for them.

We know the challenges executives experience when changing careers and equally we understand how difficult it can be for our sons and daughters to get their foot on the career ladder or to simply figure out what it is they want to do.

That’s why we launched TwoPointZero 15 months ago – to bring the best of the executive career advice we give and adapt it to young people just starting their career journeys. We help them figure out what they are passionate about and the kind of careers that their passions align with. We then give them the tools, insights and skills they need to network and identify job and work experience opportunities in a world where are simply far fewer entry level roles than when most of us started out on our careers journeys.

You know that it takes skill and perseverance to find a career and it’s never too early to start planning and building those skills. Yet most students seem to wait until they have finished their education to start thinking about it rather than maximising the time while they are studying to identify the right path, build valuable networks that will aid their decision making and ultimately help them find their next role, in addition to choosing part time jobs that help them develop the transferable skills they will need in their chosen career.

If you want to set your son or daughter on the right career path, you can find out more about TwoPointZero by visiting the website or you can call the TwoPointZero team directly on 03 9691 7955 or 02 9256 2190.

“I got my son to attend that while I was at Directioneering and it was fantastic, he landed a very good job as a direct result of working there. I think there is a real gap in the market for that type of service and I have been spruiking it to all my friends who have children” Directioneering Candidate

“I know you do this all the time and probably take what you do for granted but as a parent I want to thank you for the level of support you have given my daughter. She was very lost and not handling it well but the turnaround in her has been remarkable. I have never seen her as motivated as she is working with you guys. She now knows what she wants to do, has a plan and is loving working with her coach.” – Directioneering client
