To best support our clients as they manage everyday organisational turbulence, I draw on my 30 years of experience in human resource management and organisational development, much of this time spent as a member of executive teams. I have also been privileged to coach many of the outstanding executive leaders in Directioneering’s alumni at critical points in their careers.
During my own career journey, I have held senior roles with Ford, National Mutual Life Association, Coles Myer, Pacifica Group and Medibank Private. In my role as Group Executive, People, Culture & Communications at Medibank, I was responsible for all aspects of human resource management as well as corporate social responsibility and external and internal communications.
I understand first-hand the challenges that many organisations face managing teams that are geographically diverse and what this means for individual careers. Whilst based in Australia, I have had responsibility for local and regional teams and have worked extensively in Asia, North America, Italy and on the establishment of a joint venture Greenfield facility in China.
I have acquired a strong understanding of the challenges that organisations face through significant involvement in planning, restructuring and change management associated with diversification, acquisitions and the sale of businesses. I also bring my experience reporting to and advising Board Committees and Boards on matters that include executive remuneration, non-executive remuneration, leadership development, succession planning and health, safety and environment.
I am adept at gaining the commitment of executive teams, using my coaching expertise to engage them in improving their teamwork and developing their leadership effectiveness.
