I work closely with senior executives to help them transition to new opportunities, utilising my extensive international experience working on senior executive teams and advising boards.

With over 30 years senior management experience, much of it being spent as member of business leadership teams, I bring a considered approach to the career transition of executives.

Since 2000 I have been advising boards, CEOs and senior managers across a spectrum of industries including mining, retail property, steel making, railways, health insurance and airlines, on a range of people related matters, including organisation design, leadership evaluation, development and coaching. Prior to this I headed HR and other operational functions for ICI, Orica, Zeneca and North Limited.

I’ve reviewed succession planning, designed leadership frameworks and advised on development plans and actions for leading businesses, including BlueScope Steel in Australia and Asia and Anglo American plc in Europe and Africa. I’ve also consulted widely on a range of HR issues including succession and talent inventory, integration of acquisitions, board appointments, senior executive remuneration, superannuation, executive coaching and organization design to businesses including Centro Property Group in both Australia and the USA, Rio Tinto in Canada, Medibank Private, Qantas and Queensland Rail.

I am particularly adept at working with organisations to identify the ideal people requirements for successful strategic delivery, supported by detailed analysis of existing gaps and issues, and specific development plans to assist individuals and their managers close those gaps.

I am currently the Chairman of the Policy Committees of both the Orica (Flexible Benefits) and Dulux Superannuation Funds.
