Heather has 30 years of experience in human resource management and organisational development, spending much of this time as a member of the executive teams.
Heather has held senior roles with Ford, National Mutual Life Association, Coles Myer, Pacifica Group and Medibank Private. In her role as Group Executive, People, Culture & Communications at Medibank, she was responsible for all aspects of human resource management as well as corporate social responsibility and external and internal communications.
Whilst based in Australia, Heather has had responsibility for local and regional teams and has worked extensively in Asia, North America, Italy and on the establishment of a joint venture Greenfield facility in China. She has had significant experience in the planning, restructuring and change management associated with diversification, acquisitions and the sale of businesses.
A feature of Heather’s experience has been reporting to and advising Board Committees and Boards on matters including executive remuneration, non-executive remuneration, leadership development, succession planning and health, safety and environment. In addition, a particular focus of Heather’s work has been on gaining the commitment of executive teams and using her coaching expertise to engage them in improving their teamwork and developing their leadership effectiveness.
Heather has a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Western Australia.
