Biography

I work closely with some of Australia’s most senior executives to assist them to build even more successful and satisfying careers.

I bring to my executives at Directioneering over 30 years of experience as a Managing Director of listed and unlisted companies and I have advised Boards and Chief Executives worldwide. I am proud to have helped over 500 executives not only to take positive steps forward on their career journeys but also to build sound long term career strategies.

After graduating from Harvard Business School as a Baker Scholar, I moved to London to work for McKinsey & Co. Inc. I served major clients in Europe, North America and Mexico. I was elected a partner in New York and then transferred to the Melbourne Office where I built a client base in Asia and Australia.

After leaving McKinsey I led a leveraged buy-out of Southern Cross Broadcasting in 1983. Starting in 1996 I was the managing Director of Davidson & Associates, consolidating its position as the premier career management firm in South East Asia, with 10 offices across the region. In 1998 the Firm won the BRW Award for the best service business in Australia.

I have served as a Director on the boards of several Australian companies and am currently the Chairman of a number of boards and committees in various not-for-profit organisations.
